Brian, Great story. Your Grand Dad played with some of Hockey's Legends. He also played on the 1930/31 New York Americans with a man named Ellis Pringle who was from Sutton West Ontario. My Dad, Charles was the stick boy on many of the local teams in Sutton at the time. Dad considered Ellis his idol.Mr Pringle is buried in the local cemetery next to one of Canada's renowned humorists Stephen Leacock and Charles' parents. Funny how the Six Degrees of Separation works.Hope to read more of your articles. They bring fond memories.

Loved reading this! I am the great grandson of George. My grandmother was Lois, who married Gerald Stark. George has been a ledgend within my family. My father Jon attended a documentery made of him in Kingston. Great to find history of a long lost era of my family! I had a portrait of George hanging in my room as a boy!

Thank you again!
