Thank you Brian for that very informative story. I have heard a lot about Capt. Hogan but was never able to meet him.
Keep writing as history rolls on. You a certainly a large part of it.

Captain Brian--you are a true master of the written word. Your articles are always so beautifully scripted that it makes your readers wish they had the privilege of knowing your subjects firsthand.

Brian, congratulations on your beautiful tribute to Capt. Hogan!

As a frequent summer visitor to Kingston I remember many occasions watching from our boat in Confederation Basin as the Island Queen approached her berth, and thinking what a handful she must be on those frequent windy days. Then of course I watched one of Capt. Hogan's patented landings: lickedy-split 'til close to the dock, and then at the last possible moment, full astern. Worked like a charm every time!
