As a frequent summer visitor to Kingston I remember many occasions watching from our boat in Confederation Basin as the Island Queen approached her berth, and thinking what a handful she must be on those frequent windy days. Then of course I watched one of Capt. Hogan's patented landings: lickedy-split 'til close to the dock, and then at the last possible moment, full astern. Worked like a charm every time!
