An interview with Sonja Wahl, Curator Emerita

I love the classes TIAC offers.  I have participated in several – classes I would not have ever experienced, such as bookbinding! Another bonus… I have met so many interesting and talented people in those classes.  Yes, the Arts Center is a great asset to all ages and skill levels throughout the River community.

One of my greatest memories was being able to display my work in the "Along the River's Edge” exhibition several years ago. This gave me the opportunity to exhibit my photographs of Mary Dial’s former garden. (See "A Special Thanks to Mary Dial")

In 2016, I produced a video of Sonja Wahl who was a founding member of the Craft School and on the Board of Directors and Steering Committee for many years.  Today she is Curator Emerita and leads the “Wednesday Weaver” group on Wednesdays, throughout the year.

We are fortunate in the North Country as TIAC is one of the many great institutions Clayton supports!

Presently she is creating her own Independent Video “storytelling” company.  In August, 2014 Elaine wrote “Come and visit the Grenadier Island Country Club…” for TI Life; in February 2015, the unique story about the Hobart, Tasmania, Australian “Wooden Boat Festival.” and in May 2017, “Spirit of the River in Every Bottle”
