It appears that this was a woman who truly lived life++ and cherished the history and accomplishments of her community, wherever she called home. A most moving tribute- My thoughts are with her two girls and her wonderful friends in her community.

Victoria seemed the kind of person who had a vision and the guts to follow through. A moving tribute which moved me. My thoughts are with her two girls.

A wonderful, moving tribute. Although I did not know Victoria, the story made me wish I did.

Such a moving but 'real' look at my mom. She was so passionate and always full of ideas (including how my sister and I should life our lives ;-). I still can't believe she is gone.

Thank-you Brian for writing this.

Great article, our family bought the buttonbay house from Victoria in February. I am wondering if you have any other pictures/articles on the house? Does anyone know how I could contact Brian Johnston?
Thank you

Beatuifully written, Brian. As I mentioned in another tribute, I was at King's Hall with Vicki and admired her gumption and spirit. My deepest condolences to Di, Cathy, her daughters and to you, her devoted friend.

Vicki was laid to rest on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 on Mount Royal in her family plot. With her loving family, relatives and friends all gathered around, Cathy Heiss and Elizabeth Stewart paid tribute to their sister in a beautiful, very emotional eulogy.
I'd like to share a message Vicki gave me, some time ago...
Re-worded, I'd like to return it:
My life right now is richer
God delivered me a friend
Someone that I leaned on
right up until the end...
Forever Remembered
