Tom Massey - A River Rat in the Thousand Islands featured in Shawn Thompson's book Soul of the River.  An anthropologist in his own right, Tom Massey appeared on CTV's Regional Contact as hte Elf of Rockport.  Over a lifespan of 77 years Tom was known as a fisherman, tour boat capatin and a tug boat skipper during the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway. His oral stories entertained family and friends for generations and now you can read the stories as penned by Tom Massey, author.

Tom Massey died on September 30, 2007.  His son, Dan Massey, organized the publishing of this book. Tom and Jean Massey's estate stipulated that all proceeds from the sale are to benefit the Rockport Community Centre, the location of the former Escott SS 14.
